Thanksgiving means pie. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, chess pie, and so many more appear on the heaving Turkey Day tables after everyone has stuffed themselves stupid on dinner. However, in New Orleans, pie is all around us and its stock is rising quickly. Pie's right in the name of this ramen joint helmed by Brian Armour. Current seasonal pies include bacon bourbon apple, brown butter peanut, and Steen's pumpkin creme brulee. Standards that come back frequently are their chess pie, peanut butter pie, key lime pie, lemon meringue pie, chocolate cream pie, pecan pie... you get the idea.

Emeril's is on this list because of his insane banana cream pie made with a graham cracker crust and topped with caramel sauce and chocolate shavings. The slice stands about six inches high and as decadent as it can be. Emeril's also offers a chocolate peanut butter pie with an Oreo crust and caramel sauce from time to time, which is impossibly light with subtle yet satisfying peanut butter and chocolate flavor.
