As the Best Steakhouse in New Orleans competition rages on (don't forget to vote!) Eater now turns its attention to exploring what non-steakhouse chefs are doing with steak. From hangar to ribeye to NY strip, there are places all around town that put their own spin on 'em, or just serve 'em up nice and straightforward without the steakhouse price.

Got a favorite steak that we missed? Eater wants to hear from you. Leave a comment or send us a tip. it's all about the education here, and steak procurement is a very important lesson. Mmm, steak.
