Longtime favorites and new players are doing their best to keep up the city’s reputation as a nightlife haven, and that includes good food. This CBD gem set in a 19th-century Creole cottage charms at every turn, from its handsome interior to a focus on sustainable seafood and the bar’s smart cocktail program. Seaworthy also has a raw bar it serves until midnight Friday and Saturday (10 p.m. on weekdays). Besides the likes of crab bisque and fried shrimp with fries, this may be the only place in New Orleans where you can have a lobster roll late-night.

Chef Paul Artigues, who opened Breakaway R&B in the space with his wife and partner Olivia, is keeping the tradition going. Artigues, known for running Green Goddess in the Quarter, is serving until midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. weekends, offering the likes of house-smoked ham and turkey Dagwood-sized sandwiches dressed with slaw, fresh cut fries seasoned with garlic and herbs, and amazing seafood or green gumbo.
