2015 is in just a few days. While almost every night is cause for celebration in New Orleans, here are a few places doing it up for New Year's Eve. (Several of these restaurants have New Years Day brunch/lunch service as well...)
On New Years Eve, enjoy special a la carte offerings like Maine Lobster chowder, cured foie gras, seared scallops, and rack of lamb as well as a complementary glass of bubbly. The following day, Salu is offering their first ever New Year's Day brunch, berween 11:30am and 3pm with avocado benedict with roasted tomato, French toast sliders, smoked sausage and pepper omelet, and crab cake benedict. Their usual $15 bottomless brunch cocktail specials will be in effect as well.
Magazine brunch hotspot GG's Dine-O-Rama will be offering special New Year's Eve lunch service till 4pm and will be open for brunch on New Year's Day. Try the mac & cheese or the pulled pork benedict for holiday carb protection.
For $125, you can have an all you can drink cocktail bar as well as dessert buffet table, sophisticated musical entertainment, and a champagne toast at midnight. Call 504-596-4723 for tickets. Black tie optional.

There are still a few early and late dinner reservations for Chef Isaac Toups' New Year's Eve prix fixe menu that includes options like gin-cured speckled trout, venison carpaccio, court bouillon, and Steen's syrup hand pie. 4 courses for $90 with an optional wine/cocktail pairing for an additional $50. Call quickly though.
A three-course prix fixe dinner is $38 and the cocktail pairing is $18, including a roasted cauliflower soup with curried shrimp, crispy pork shank, and more. There's also a complimentary welcome beverage.
