From doing laundry on Mondays while red beans simmer on the stove to the enlightened concept of bars with laundry facilities, New Orleans has a long history of making the tedium of cleaning clothes more bearable.

Here’s a list of six spots to booze it up while doing the laundry. There’s no promise that the laundry facilities look that clean, but they do the trick. Many also have great drink specials and most have decent, and sometimes, awesome food -- from poboys and boiled crawfish to burgers and nuggets.

Did we miss a laundromat bar that we shouldn’t have. Go ahead and drop us a line.

As usual, this places are listed by neighborhood and not by ranking.
