SWITCHEROOS — Rye & Pie is the concept opening in the former Wood pizzeria spot reports NOLA.com. Rye & Pie’s menu is still being developed, but pizza, sandwiches and salads are expected to appear. EVENTWIRE — Beignet Fest is coming back for a third year, with vendors from around the city and more than 30 beignet dishes. The Fest is happening on Saturday, October 6 from 10am until 6pm at Festival Grounds at City Park. VIP tickets, which grant access to a VIP tent and special port-a-johns, are $40.
