French Truck Coffee is readying a new location of its growing coffee empire: a cafe at 650 Poydras Street in downtown NOLA. This will be the fourth location for French Truck Coffee within New Orleans city limits — the brand also operates locations in Baton Rouge and Memphis, Tennessee. The Poydras Street cafe is expected to open in early fall of this year.
The brand isn’t tinkering much with the interior design formula that’s worked across the other NOLA stores. The Poydras shop — a 2,700-square-foot spot downtown — will be decked in French Truck’s signature yellow-and-blue color scheme, (plus requisite industrial elements.) Outdoor patios on both the Poydras Street and Lafayette Square sides of the building ensure plenty of al fresco seating.
Not to be overshadowed by the news of the opening, French Truck’s other locations — on Magazine, Dryades and Chartres Streets — are serving a special drink for the months of August and September. “The Citroen” combines Japanese-style old brew infused with lavender and lime syrup with sparkling water.
