NEWS — Two rookie, off-duty police officers allegedly beat up a longtime customer outside the Mid City Yacht Club this week after having drinks inside. The police department investigated and decided, after looking at video footage, that the officers were the aggressors. They’ve been arrested and are losing their jobs. Owners of the Mid City Yacht Club released a statement today saying they are “sickened” that this happened to the customer and plan to raise money to support him. And FYI, one of the officers says he doesn’t even remember any of it happening. [FACEBOOK]
RENOVATION REPORT — The Windsor Court announced it is renovating to the tune of a cool $15 mill. Among myriad improvements, there’s a new poolside bar, The Waterman. The rooftop eatery first opened to hotel and spa guests in April and will open to the public via Resort Pass in August. [press release]

EXPANSIONS — The Salad Station, a self-serve salad bar that started in Hammond in 2012, is expanding throughout the Gulf Coast and the New Orleans area with 14 new stores. Folks from Metairie, Kenner, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Gonzales, and Lafayette can expect to see one soon. [CITY BUSINESS]
