Copper Vine, a new wine pub aimed at “democratizing” wine, will bring 30 wine taps to Poydras Street by the end of the summer in the location that once housed historic Maylie’s restaurant.
Michael Brewer, former chef and owner at Sammich on Maple Street, will helm the kitchen with wine-friendly dishes like Murder Point oysters with pineapple-mint gelée and Cajun caviar; duck confit flatbread with bacon jam and goat cheese; and short ribs with parmesan flan.
The 5,500-square foot indoor and outdoor space will have a bar, dining area, courtyard, and balcony. Owner Kyle Brechtel (also of Fulton Alley) says that this will be the “only outdoor patio seating on Poydras.”
Copper Vine will open by the end of the summer.
