Florida’s Firehouse Subs Chain Expands in New Orleans

It isn’t the first for Louisiana though

FACEBOOK

Florida-based Firehouse Subs chain will start serving hot subs, cold subs, and salads at its first New Orleans-proper location this Friday, July 13 at 4150 General DeGaulle Drive under franchisees David Clark and Jessica Christen.

This isn’t the first location in Louisiana however. Firehouse has locations in Slidell, Thibodeaux, Metairie, and Monroe.

Florida-based mural artist Joe Puskas has painted a black and white mural inside the eatery featuring the Algiers Courthouse surrounded by cypress trees. Puskas and his team have painted over 1,000 murals for the sub chain.

The chain was founded over 20 years ago by brothers Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen, who were both firefighters. There are over 1,135 Firehouse Subs restaurants in 44 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada. It’s headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Clark and Christen don’t have any other stores planned for the New Orleans area right now.
