COMING ATTRACTIONS—This August, Chef Eric Cook is bringing a new restaurant to Magazine Street: Gris Gris, reports NOLA.com. Gris Gris is taking over the former location of pricey tasting menu only Square Root at 1800 Magazine St.; Square Root closed on New Year’s Eve, 2017. Cook has worked at a slew of restaurants in New Orleans — Commander’s Palace, Bourbon House, Tommy’s Cuisine and Nosh, The American Sector.
