The CBD’s Capdeville closed abruptly last month, allegedly leaving many of its employees in the lurch, Brett Anderson reported this afternoon.

At least one employee said she filed a complaint regarding the unpaid wages with the U.S. Department of Labor. She also said that paychecks started bouncing months ahead of the closure.

The restaurant’s website is still up with links to social media handles on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but all of the attached accounts have been deactivated.

Capdeville opened in 2010 and quickly became a popular gathering spot to watch Saints and LSU games with quality pub food and cocktails, even providing free touchdown shots during some games.

The owners of Capdeville could not be reached for comment.
