Despite a year rocked by sexual harassment allegations and a bitter, public split from chef Alon Shaya, John Besh’s restaurant group (now called BRG Hospitality) will push ahead with the opening of Eunice restaurant in Houston late this summer, according to reports from the Houston Chronicle and the Houston Business Journal.
Executive chef and partner Drake Leonards named the 125-seat, 7,000-square foot “Cajun-Creole brasserie” on Houston’s Buffalo Speedway after his childhood home in Eunice, Louisiana.
The Houston restaurant is the first opening under Shannon White, who took John Besh’s place when he stepped down amid the sexual harassment scandal.
