Hot on the heels of vegan darling Sweet Soulfood’s opening, one-time mobile operation Trilly Cheesesteaks has found a permanent home and there’s a vegan version of every single meat sandwich on the menu. It has taken over the old Clesi’s space at 4413 Banks Street, reports Helen Freund.
Options include a traditional Philly cheesesteak, a version with ginger and soy sauce, a chicken version, a Buffalo chicken version, and a barbecue chicken version. Diners can order any Philly “nature boy” style, which means extra onions and peppers in lieu of bread. The restaurant also serves fried pickles.
Opening hours are 5 p.m. until midnight every day of the week. The report says the restaurant will extend hours soon.
Clesi’s moved from that location with plans to open in a larger location of few blocks away.
