Conner Mullins will bring duck and waffles to Harahan this spring when he opens Ya Ya’s Comfort Food, a cafe that will serve only breakfast and lunch, reports Todd Price. For the last seven years, Cullins was a cook at Brigtsen’s, the beloved and lauded Riverbend dinner spot from Frank Brigtsen.
Expect breakfast and lunch with po-boys on Dong Phuong bread, as well as daily specials like fried chicken, blackened chicken pasta, or crawfish enchiladas.
Yaya’s will move into the spot Hillbilly Bar-B-Q just vacated when it moved just a couple spots down to focus on catering and to-go orders.
Harahan has been upping its dining game recently, with La Petite Sophie and Oak Oven, as well as others, bringing non-Harahanians to the area to dine.
