Ted Brennan’s Decatur — which has faced major trouble and setbacks since it opened this past August — reopens today, as per a triumphant post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The French Quarter restaurant announced that it hoped to reopen in time for Mardi Gras, and has fulfilled that promise, opening today at 10 a.m.
Ted Brennan’s Decatur was riddled with issues since it first opened its doors this past August. One of the biggest problems facing the restaurant at 309 Decatur Street was a major landlord dispute — namely, eviction threats and legal proceedings. The restaurant fell behind on rent just two months after opening. And water issues began a few weeks ago, effectively closing the restaurant.
Ted Brennan’s Decatur was meant to be a second chance for restaurateur Ted Brennan after he lost Brennan’s Restaurant on Royal Street, though Brennan sadly passed a year before this new Decatur restaurant opened.
The restaurant reopens today at 10 a.m.
