In a world where diners are left to the wiles of Yelp, it’s difficult to pinpoint the perfect restaurant. It could be that boozy brunch with friends. A cocktail bar with dim lighting and comfortable seating. A fatty, satisfying meal at 3 a.m. Vietnamese food on the West Bank or Honduran in Kenner. Or perhaps it’s just the perfect French fry poboy or a restorative bowl of yakamein. New Orleans has a multitude of excellent restaurants — from white tablecloth destinations to corner stores with plate lunches — and it’s often difficult to figure out where to go.
Today Eater New Orleans announces its brand new members-only Facebook Group. Don’t worry, all you need to do to join is make a request to be added. Once inside the group, members ask for restaurant recommendations, post photos of their latest favorite restaurants, debate which banh mi spot reigns supreme, and just generally share thoughts with other avid Eater New Orleans readers. Think of it like a crowd-sourced concierge from New Orleans’ most in-the-know diners.
Not into the idea of this group? As always, the Essential 38 and Eater New Orleans Heatmap have you covered.
