The hotly-anticipated follow-up to the nationally-recognized debut of sandwich shop Turkey and the Wolf is now open in the Irish Channel.

Breakfast spot Molly’s Rise and Shine opened to friends and family this past Thursday, and according to its Facebook page was “secretly” open Saturday and Sunday. It is the second restaurant from Mason Hereford, who opened the James-Beard nominated Turkey and the Wolf in Fall 2016.

Colleen Quarls, who moved over from the original location, is helming the restaurant, located in the location of the former Magazine Street Po-Boy Shop. Plans include a slightly less cheeky menu with basic breakfast items as well as dishes like a “Grand Slam McMuffin” with sausage patties, American cheese, grilled onions, and ketchup on an English muffin made at Molly’s.

Turkey and the Wolf’s general manager Kate Mirante is running the dining room. Located at 2368 Magazine Street, Molly’s Rise and Shine’s opening hours will start out as 8 a.m to 3 p.m.
