On Sunday afternoon the New Orleans Saints beat division rival the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and by that night star player Alvin Kamara was celebrating with Karaoke at Morrow’s, the Marigny’s stylish, see-and-be-seen eatery.
The Saints won Sunday’s away game 28-14 in Tampa, clinching the NFC South and because of a Los Angeles Rams loss, reaching first place in the NFC. Miraculously, the record-breaking, second year running back was singing Karaoke that same night back in New Orleans at the newish and highly-photographed Morrow’s in the Marigny. TMZ reports that Kamara’s song choice was, unfortunately, R. Kelly’s “12 Play.”
Morrow’s, which opened back in April, is an always-packed corner spot on St. Claude from local event promoter Larry Morrow and his mother, Lenora Chong, combining New Orleans classics and Korean specialties with a hip aesthetic (most notably its green grass wall behind the bar).
The 11-2 Saints will next play the Carolina Panthers, also a division rival, in Carolina this Monday, December 17.
