A newly-posted job listing on Craigslist appearing to be authored by Commander’s Palace head chef Tory McPhail seeks an “experienced executive chef” for an upcoming project from the restaurant group.
The job listing indicates that the project is seeking chef candidates with a background in both fine dining and casual restaurants, and that “large hotel and banquet experience would be a big plus.” Eater has reached out to the communications team at Commander’s Family of Restaurants for any further details.
The Commander’s restaurant group most recently opened Picnic Provisions & Whiskey in September, in partnership with Reginelli’s owner Darryl Reginelli, a casual corner spot serving up classic Southern dishes and picnic standards. No new projects have been publicly announced since.
The group recently shuttered Café Adelaide after 15 years in the Loews Hotel at the end of the summer, handing operations of the restaurant and its adjoining Swizzle Stick Bar back to the hotel.
