Mid City pizza favorite Echo’s will open its doors for brunch this weekend, says owner Theresa Galli.
Having opened at the beginning of the year in a historic building on the corner of Banks Street, Echo’s is the product of a highly-anticipated partnership between the owners of Mediterranean restaurant 1,000 Figs, Galli and Gavin Cady, and Kate Heller of Leo’s Bread. It is also the first stationary outlet for Kate’s bread, which she used to sell out of the back of her car in front of Pagoda Cafe. Galli and Cady were among her first customers.
Echo’s wood-fired oven pizza, small plates and natural wine list has been a hit with its Mid City neighborhood. Starting December 1st, Echo’s will expand to serve wood-fired bagels, Italian stuffed donuts, cocktails, and other brunch classics on weekend mornings. See the full brunch menu below.
Galli and Cady also brought their Mediterranean and vegetarian-friendly food offerings to Pythian Market this past summer with Little Fig, an outpost of 1,000 Figs.
Echo’s will be open for brunch every Saturday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
