The New Orleans Wine and Food Experience Will Be Less Sweaty in 2019

The event is moving from the end of May to the beginning of April

After years of hosting New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE) at the tail-end of May, the decades-old, multi-day wine and food extravaganza is moving to April 3 through 7 in 2019.

This is outstanding news since NOWFE has some outdoor components to it and the end of May is hot. The event usually kicks off with the Royal Street Stroll, which — in May — is a sweat and booze-filled jaunt from one wine and food booth to another down Royal Street, punctuated by visits into various air-conditioned art galleries.

Though NOWFE has not released the 2019 event line-up, last year saw the addition of some exclusive, high-end events like a visit to usually off-limits New Orleans wine cellars.
