Take a Peek Inside Echo’s Wood-Fired Pizzeria

Echo’s, the hotly anticipated wood-fired pizza hub from Theresa Galli and Gavin Cady, owners of 1000 Figs, and Kate Heller, baker and proprietor and Leo’s Bread, swings open in Mid City tomorrow. The restaurant owners have renovated a historic corner building on Banks Street.

The big, wood-fired oven is the main attraction upon entering Echo’s, plus there are a few booths in the front room. Past the wood-fired oven are more tables and a full bar. An open-air patio lies beyond that. The inside seats about 50, while about 26 more can fit on the patio.

Expect wood-fired pizzas, interesting small plates, some entrees, and a few salads on the menu. Loaves of Leo’s Bread will be available for purchase as well. View the full menu here.

Opening hours, starting on Wednesday, are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays (closed Tuesdays) and 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with plans to expand the hours to include lunch in the future.
