Following an eight-week renovation in anticipation of the restaurant’s 25th anniversary, Emeril Lagasse’s NOLA re-opens its doors today in the French Quarter with a more robust small plate menu, a lighter interior, and tons of bar space.
Menu items include oyster and brie pot pie, New Orleans hot frog logs, alligator sausage bao, and oyster boudin toast, plus old favorites like Miss Hay’s stuffed chicken wings and St. Paul’s gumbo, according to a press release.
The industrial, brick interior had been treated to a light wash to brighten the space. The first floor is now a large bar, a chef’s table, and an open kitchen.
NOLA restaurant opened in 1992. It’s open Sunday through Thursday for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., plus Friday and Saturday for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
