POPEYES — Nicki Minaj would not perform at Fashion Week until she got her Popeyes fried chicken, according to some sources. “She refused to go onstage until she got her Popeyes f – – king chicken. THE CHAINS — The first Dat Dog outside New Orleans is set to open September 30 in Lafayette. [CITY BUSINESS]

It’s hard to believe that the Dat Dog restaurant mini-chain opened its first spot in that tiny location on Freret Street (across the street from its current Freret Street location) in 2011. The original Dat Dog (turned Liberty Cheesesteaks) spot is set to become Good Bird by the end of this month. [ENOLA]
