The Beignet Fest Reveals its Food Line-Up

EVENTWIRE — The Beignet Fest announced its food line-up, full of sweet and savory options. [press release]

EATER IDK — New Orleans may have a lot of food festivals, but it has a lot of very good food festivals. Poor Brooklyn, though. Its pizza festival was literally the Fyre Festival of food fests, with people calling it a scam and an investigation by the Attorney General. [ENY]

EVENTWIRE — Cavan hosts a Vanishing Paradise dinner tonight with garfish, rabbit, and alligator (highlighting species that depend on freshwater marsh in coastal Louisiana) on the menu.

SWITCHEROOS — Eric Cook has taken over the executive chef position on Tommy’s Cuisine and NOSH. He’s worked at a number of restaurants in the New Orleans area, most recently as the executive chef at Bourbon House. NOSH’s opening chef was Michael Farrell. [via press release]
