Art and Kim Zacharczyk, who abruptly closed their Artz Bagelz location just off Magazine Street in the Irish Channel in 2014, are bringing the popular bagel shop back as a morning pop-up this weekend, operating out of Stepping Stone Kitchen (728 Dublin Street, New Orleans) in the Riverbend, reports NOLA.COM.
The bagel shop will pop up with plain, everything, sesame, asiago cheese, and cinnamon raisin bagels along with plain, Creole veggie, scallion, and honey almond cream cheese on September 2 and September 3 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. (or until there are no more bagels left to sell).
Future plans do not include opening a new bagel shop, but the couple will continue with the pop-up every Friday through Monday morning if the first pop-up is successful. They are also considering selling the bagels at farmers markets.
Artz Bagelz will announce future pop-up events on its Facebook page.
