Old Mandeville’s historic district will be getting new barbecue joint, Blues & BBQ, soon. The new restaurant and lounge would open in a “long-abandoned” and blighted building at 448 Lafitte Street, reports NOLA.COM. Mandeville’s city council approved the plans for the restaurant on Tuesday night.
The plans call to remake the former lawn mower shop and one-time millworks business building into a sit-down dining room. The restaurant plans to prepare food in a catering truck in the back.
In other Northshore restaurant news, Middendorf’s announced earlier this week that the famous thin-friend catfish haven will find a second home in Slidell with a new 300-seat restaurant with an outdoor play area with water features for children.
