The Mason Jar American Kitchen Heading for Metairie

It’s the newest project from Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts

The exterior of what will become Mason Jar

Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts has a new casual, American restaurant in the works. A Craigslist ad appears to indicate the new location will be at 4517 Esplanade Avenue in Metairie, which used to house a daiquiri shop and cafe. According to the ad:

The Mason Jar Kitchen (like the original jar) is deeply rooted in the neighborhood and family aesthetic. It signifies a simpler and hand-made approach to mainstream American restaurants. Our food bridges the gap between the hearty (daily specials) and the simple (fresh soup and salads). Add in an incomparable selection of two dozen sandwiches and burgers along with a truly robust kids' menu in a small, intimate setting and The Mason Jar will delight every member of your family.

A visit to the Big Easy Cafe, where Mason Jar will be located, confirmed that the spot is “closed for renovations.” Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts is the quick-multiplying restaurant group behind Broussard's, NOSH, Kingfish, and Big Easy Daiquiris.
