Fast-expanding and locally owned Poke Loa has announced plans to bring the red-hot Hawaiian raw fish salad craze to the CBD’s South Market District this fall, joining a growing number of restaurants in the area. The new CBD location will be the third location for Poke Loa.
Poke Loa debuted on the corner of Magazine and Louisiana in mid-February this year. Hot on the heels of that opening came a June announcement that a Metairie location would land this fall. Just over a month later comes the news that the CBD will also be getting its poke fix.
The newest location will feature the same bright look and “build-your-own” concept as the original Magazine Street location, according to the an announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page. A big difference between the original Magazine Street location and the CBD location will be the addition of a mochi bar.
