At long last, Saffron Nola has set the date for its debut on Magazine Street. The eatery known for its Indian cuisine confirmed to newsletter subscribers today that the full-scale restaurant will debut on Thursday, August 3 with service ramping up to an official grand opening on August 10.

While its OpenTable scheduling option won’t be available until August 10, the restaurant is currently accepting reservations by phone at 504-323-2626. Saffron Nola is expected to open for dinner service at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Saffron Nola was launched by the Vilkhu family five years ago in Gretna with chef Arvinder Vilkhu heading up the kitchens. It initially operated as a Friday night-only dinner restaurant that occasionally hosted special set menu dinners and Sunday brunch. The Uptown spot, which is filling the former Saveur space, is the first brick-and-mortar outpost for the eatery.

Saffron Nola is located at 4128 Magazine St., New Orleans.
