There will be no more pizzas coming out of the St. Clair “1967 Chevy short bus,” transformed with the addition of a Forno Bravo model wood-fired pizza oven built by the owner, triple sink, hand-washing station, and wood storage area, reports Todd Price. The bus was recently posted on eBay for $23,450.
St. Clair announced that it was closing down operations on a Facebook message linked to the eBay listing on July 18.
Hey Everyone,
The times is a changing...Our run with St. Clair has come to an end. It's been quite an experience to say the least. Thank you so much for the love and support. It has been our pleasure making you pizza.
All that being said, the bus is for sale and in need of good home. It's ready to go as food operation but the possibilities for the old beauty are endless. Please contact us with any questions. Thanks again.
Love,
St. Clair
According to the listing, the business is not for sale and the decals will be removed upon sale. The owners may consider a brick and mortar spot in the future, but not anytime soon, saying in Price’s report, “Maybe there are too many places to eat here.”
The 50-year-old bus was turned into a mobile pizza kitchen in 2012.
