The menu has barbecue and classic New Orleans seafood dishes

SmokeHouse Grill, a new, “not just barbecue,” kid-friendly restaurant in Bucktown from Brandon Herty Arnold and Joe Rouchon , threw open its doors in late May with a menu full of smoked meats and classic New Orleans seafood dishes, reports Helen Freund. Live Bait Bar was formerly at the location.

The two owners met while working at New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Co. Joe Rouchon runs the kitchen, while Mandy Radosta Rouchon runs the bakery portion of the restaurant. In addition to smoked meats, find spinach and artichoke dip, Cobb salad, burgers, crab cake Napoleon layered with shrimp, shrimp scampi, New Orleans barbecue shrimp over Gouda grits, crawfish bread, fried and blackened seafood, and desserts. Do try the brisket fries.

In addition to dine in, the restaurant offers catering and take-out.

The restaurant, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, will likely add a brunch and cocktail menu soon, according to Freund’s report. [GAMBIT]
