Chrissy Tiegen, the supermodel and cookbook author married to singer John Legend and known for being “sassy on Twitter” and her frequent musings on chips (and all food, really), has weighed in on Zapp’s potato chips, calling the Voodoo flavor “very tasty” and giving them “two thumbs up” on Twitter. She also asks if the enigmatic flavor is some kind of “BBQ/salt and vinegar hybrid?”
Before discovering Zapp’s, she proclaimed Doritos a favorite, saying that she licks all the flavor off of them, leaving the carb-heavy chip behind. She’s also claimed to top her tuna casserole with Tim’s Cascade jalapeño chips. No word yet on her preferred method of consuming those Zapp’s.
It isn’t the first time she’s considered Louisiana food in her social media postings. Earlier this year, she took to Twitter to crowdsource gumbo recommendations.
Tiegen is the author of Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat, a cookbook published in 2016.
While it may not be immediately obvious why it matters that Chrissy Tiegen approves of Zapp’s, the point is that she just told hundred of thousands of people that she likes Zapp’s and that is great marketing for the beloved Louisiana company.
These were very tasty. Are they some sort of BBQ/salt and vinegar hybrid? Two thumbs up pic.twitter.com/n0ZGZjTFAP
