- John Besh and Aarón Sánchez are throwing a crawfish boil at Besh’s home in Slidell. The event, 1-4 pm on May 13, is the next installation of the pop-up dinner series, Johnny + Friends. Proceeds benefit the John Besh Foundation’s Chefs Move! Scholarship Program, which provides aspiring minority cooks training and support to become leaders in restaurant kitchens and in their communities. As part of the festivities, John Besh Foundation will announce this year’s Chefs Move! and Aarón Sánchez Scholarship Fund winners.
