Christmas just came early for all the folks upset about the closing of taco, ceviche, and margarita hub Mizado Latin Kitchen — it won’t close after all. After an overwhelming response to the news that the popular spot would be replaced with a Zea’s (another restaurant from the same restaurant group, Taste Buds Management), the group announced that Mizado will remain open “indefinitely.”
The company issued the following statement this afternoon:
Having experienced an overwhelmingly high demand, Mizado Latin Kitchen has decided to remain open past the previously announced closing date of Sunday, June 4. With an incredible influx of patronage since recently announcing its plan to close, Mizado will continue to serve the community with modified hours of operation, accommodating staff appropriately.
The new hours are as follows:
Monday through Thursday from 4pm - 10pm
Friday from 11am - 11pm
Saturday from 4pm - 11pm
Sunday from 10:30am - 3:30pm
Mizado Latin Kitchen opened in 2013 and recently won top honors for its margaritas at Top Taco competition.
