The food hall trend marches on. Just off the news that the folks behind the St. Roch Market will open the The Auction House Market (801 Magazine St.) in the Warehouse District, it has been announced that they have another food hall in the works...in Miami.
The new spot from Will Donaldson and Barre Tanguis will be “an expansive modern food hall that highlights a thoughtfully-curated culinary and retail program” in Miami’s Design District. St. Roch Market Miami will feature “the same minimalist, cohesive interior design of the New Orleans location, while incorporating Miami’s signature design flare.” The market will house a lineup of local chef-driven food and beverage purveyors offering 10 unique food options, the craft-cocktail mainstay, Mayhaw bar, a coffee bar, and raw bar.
Eater Miami reports that the news comes on the heels of “half a dozen food halls being announced in the Magic City.” St. Roch Miami will join Miami’s food hall invasion in 2018.
This marks the third city that St. Roch Market will have a presence in, following its original New Orleans location, which debuted in 2015, and a Nashville location that is currently in the works.
