Popeyes Biscuits Steal Headlines at Coachella Party

Texas rapper Post Malone knows who to call for catering

Texas rapper Post Malone, of White Iverson fame, called Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen when he wanted to throw a Coachella party this past Sunday, reports TMZ.com. The rapper ordered 10,000 biscuits and had them delivered to the festival. The tab came to $8,000. The rapper was celebrating his Stoney album going platinum.

No one should be too surprised that Post Malone knows a little something about choosing food for a party. His father worked in the food industry. Various sources report that he was the assistant director of food and beverage for the Dallas Cowboys and that he operated their concession stands.

That Popeyes just grabbed the headlines at a festival where its products weren’t even being sold is just more proof that the recent sale of the beloved Louisiana chain to the Canadian company that owns Burger King was a total bargain at $1.8 billion. So were those biscuits.
