As college basketball March Madness is in full swing and people are making brackets and predictions, members of the Red Beans Parade and Camellia Brand beans have other competitions and brackets on their minds. Which New Orleans restaurant serves the best red beans? Lead vocalist Tarriona "Tank" Ball from Tank and the Bangas has an answer.
A little info on the competition: In what they are calling the Final Fork, 64 New Orleans restaurants and chefs will square off in head-to-head “bean tastings” judged by The final competition will take place at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum on April 2, 2017. Prizes include things like a red bean tattoo. Proceeds from the competition go to Anna’s Place and Make Music NOLA.
