New Champagne Bar Effervescence Pops Open This Weekend

Effervescence is celebrating its grand opening this weekend with frozen grapefruit and champagne sabayon, plenty of bubbles, and other treats.

FRENCH QUARTER — A Champagne bar on Rampart Street quietly opened its doors during Carnival, but the grand opening goes down this weekend. According to Will Coviello, Effervescence’s menu includes bubbles, as well as food: caviar, crudites, cheeses, cold seafood platters (raw oysters, crab claws, crudo), and fries with aioli. Located at 1036 N. Rampart Street, the bar will be open Wednesday through Sunday. [GAMBIT]

WAREHOUSE DISTRICTSt. James Cheese Company’s Warehouse District location on Tchoupitoulas will serve breakfast starting at 9 am on Saturday mornings. The menu includes stunners like Revelator Coffee rubbed pork butt with cheese grits, pickled corn, and egg.
