Eater is pleased to announce that Stephanie Carter is the new editor of Eater New Orleans.
Carter most recently worked as editor and publisher of Edible New Orleans, and has several years of experience writing and editing stories about the city's food culture. Stories she edited have appeared in the Best Food Writing anthologies for 2015 and 2016. This year, she received Legacy Award in Journalism from Les Dames d'Escoffier International. The Tulane graduate and boiled peanut aficionado previously served as an editorial director for the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. She is the co-author of The A-Z Encyclopedia of Food Controversies and the Law, along with Liz Williams.
Carter will work alongside Eater Nola’s staff of writers and photographers to comprehensively cover the area’s major restaurant news developments, as well as highlight its standout dining destinations. Reach out to her with tips and story ideas here, and don't forget to follow her on Twitter.
Carter replaces former editor Gwendolyn Knapp, who has moved on to the position of food editor at The Houston Press.
