New Orleans is about to get just a little bit sweeter. Nashville-based bakehouse The Cupcake Collection announced last week that it will expand to a second outpost in the Big Easy.
Cupcake Collection founder Mignon Francois is a New Orleans native according to the Nashville Business Journal, and plans to help her younger sisters franchise the bakery this year.
While the location of the New Orleans cupcake shop has yet to be confirmed, per social media the company expects to make an announcement next month and also plans to host pop-ups. Eater has reached out for more information.
The Cupcake Collection is known for a daily rotation of offerings with flavors like pineapple upside down, sweet potato, and Italian wedding cake. Many of the desserts are available in gluten-free or vegan iterations and can be made as mini or jumbo-sized sweets. Stay tuned for updates.
