Sofia Vergara Scores Haydel’s Bakery King Cake

Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara is kicking off her Carnival season in the most spectacularly New Orleans way — with lots of king cake. On Wednesday the Times-Picayune reports that the star shared a special Mardi Gras cake-filled photo on her Instagram account with the caption: “Straight from Nola!! King Cake!!! Gracias Lea,Brock, and Brian #therehasneverbeenacakethatIdontlike #readyformardigras2017”

The king cake featured in Vergara’s photo is from none other than New Orleans pastry icon, Haydel’s Bakery. The photo has since received more than 119,000 likes.

It’s good news for Haydel’s which had a rough start to the season. The bakeshop made headlines in January when it’s delivery truck was stolen. Fortunately the vehicle was recovered quickly.
