New Orleans’ doughnut sandwich sensation has unveiled its latest outpost. A fresh location of District Donuts.Sliders.Brew was unleashed today on the unsuspecting residents of Elmwood, according to Todd Price.

The new restaurant debuted in the Elmwood Shopping Center on February 13 with mini burgers, ample supplies of fried dough, Stumptown coffee, and beers from Wayward Owl and Southern Prohibition Brewing on tap. Despite the “brew” in the name, beer is a first for the concept. Up until now focused its efforts on coffee.

The doughnut and slider mini chain launched its first cafe in the Lower Garden District in 2013, and has moved fast to dominate the market for doughnuts ever since. The company now boasts four locations including one on Magazine Street and a Lakeview eatery. The question remains, where will District invade next?

District Donuts.Sliders.Brew Elmwood is located at 1126 S. Clearview Pkwy. Suite D. The restaurant opens from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
