Liberty Cheesesteaks Founder Once Swapped Steaks for Beer

STADIUM SUSTENANCE—Listen up sports fans, The Mercedes-Benz Superdome has a little something special going on for the 2018 Allstate Sugar Bowl — actually, four something specials, reports NOLA.com. Food stalls throughout the stadium will be slinging these special items: a Clemson Pimiento Grilled Cheese (exactly what it sounds like); a Clemson Chicken Peach Pizza (mmm pizza); Bama Country Fried Steak (with gravy and fries); and a Bama BBQ Pizza, with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, onions and peppers topped with barbecue sauce. CHEESESTEAK CHEDDAR—Gambit has an interesting little tidbit about Mike Casey, a Philly native and founder of Liberty Cheesesteaks. During his college years, Casey would fly from Philly to Tulane with an “ice chest full of steaks,” making cheesesteaks for friends in exchange for beer. [GAMBIT]
