Dat Dog Is Venturing Out of NOLA

College Station, Texas is one lucky town

Dat Dog, the fast-casual hot dog chain that originated in New Orleans, is finally headed out of state, reports QSR Magazine. Dat Dog will open a location in College Station, Texas; this is the small chain’s first location outside Louisiana.

The first Texas location of Dat Dog will be at 101 Church Avenue, in the Domain at Northgate. The restaurant will be owned by B&G Food Enterprises, LLC, which has over 100 fast-food restaurants — think: Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silver’s — across the Gulf states already in its portfolio.

The College Station Dat Dog location is slated to open in July of 2018.

Dat Dog currently operates three locations within New Orleans — one on Freret Street, one on Magazine Street and one on Frenchmen Street. The mini-chain is known and well-loved for its innovative take on hot dogs — sausage made of duck, alligator or crawfish, along with three vegan options — and its fun toppings like blackberry sauce and bleu cheese.
