Plus, no reindeer were harmed in the making of The Blitzen Burger

MENU PORN — Walk-On’s may be serving “The Blitzen Burger,” but nostalgia-lovers need not fear — it is not made of Santa’s besties (aka reindeer!) A mix of beef and venison is the base of the burger, which is then topped with bacon, green apples, Peppadews and two cheeses: feta and a ghost-pepper cheese. [NOLA.com]

EVENTWIRE — There are only four seats left(!) for the Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner at GW Fins. Happening next Wednesday, December 6th, the $95 (not including tax and tip) combines individual and family-style dishes. [Facebook]

BREAKFAST WIRE — Carmo is now serving the most important meal of the day; the Warehouse District spot is starting a breakfast service today. Breakfast bocadillos, bowls, tortillas and baked goods are all happily on the menu. [Gambit]

SNOWBALL ALERT — Hansen’s Sno-Bliz regularly opens during the month of December for a brief, three-day stint. This year, the snowball spot is open December 8 - 10, from 10am until 5pm. The menu may change slightly daily, but it will have seasonal flavors — like eggnog — and popular regular flavors like wedding cake and chocolate. [NOLA.com]
