Beyoncé (sporting an Astros jersey like the proper native Houstonian that she is) stepped out with Jay-Z and Solange (who lives in New Orleans) to have dinner at Dooky Chase, Leah Chase’s venerable restaurant known for its collection of African American art, Creole cooking, and role in the civil rights movement. They also posted photos on Instagram, reported Food and Wine.
Leah Chase appeared in Beyonce’s video for Lemonade, and Solange does Mardi Gras with the Chases from time-to-time, according to the Times-Picayune.
The family doesn't have bad taste when it comes to dining in New Orleans. They’ve stopped at Gene’s Curbside Daiquiris, a 24-hour neighborhood spot, according to Food and Wine. They dined at Cafe Amelie on May 17, celebrated their mama’s birthday at Muriel’s, ate at Mother’s the night Queen Bey lip-synced at President Obama’s inauguration, and ordered 150 poboys from Parkway during Beyonce’s tour stop here, according to Southern Living.
Jay-Z is performing at the Smoothie King Center tomorrow night for his 4:44 tour.
