Tonight ten pop-up kitchens get together for Propeller Pop to show off their skills in an annual night of eating and drinking that celebrates the best pop-ups in New Orleans at Propeller Incubator (4035 Washington Avenue). Propeller is a nonprofit organization that helps entrepreneurs grow their nonprofits and small businesses.
Sylvain’s Martha Wiggins, this year’s honoree, will serve hors d'oeuvres during the VIP hour. Drinks will be provided by nearby Roulaison Distilling Co. and Broad Street Cider & Ale. The menu is extensive: pork butt carnitas from Alma; seafood cheesecake from the Taylored Chef; salad from Da’Serigne; focaccia sandwich with handmade ricotta, tomatoes, and basil from Gattone Grasso!; smoked pork belly and grits from Gonzo Smokehouse & BBQ; mushroom tamal from Holé Molé; chicken arepas from La Monita; tskukune from Z’kaya; glazed donut holes from 2nd Chance Donuts; French macarons from Chef Sully; and popsicles from Toopops. Find the full menu here.
VIP hour runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. General admission from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $40 at the door. VIP tickets are $100.
