Former Cuvee chef Bob and wife Joanna Iacovone are opening an affordable, grab-and-go spot on Freret with busy families, like their own, in mind. Iacovone Kitchen will swing open on November 21, reports Todd Price.
Bob Iacovone left Cuvee (which is now closed) in 2009 to be a stay-at-home dad, with catering and consulting as a side hustle. He’d been an executive chef for 7 years and was ready for a change.
Iacovone Kitchen hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will allow him to still spend plenty of time with his family.
The menu will feature full meals (veg, seafood, or meat entree with sides), plus soups, salads, a dessert, and sauces, all posted daily on the business’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Iacovone Kitchen, opening soon at 5033 Freret, was formerly home to The Beauty Lab salon. It’s directly next to Good Bird, which opened at the end of September.
